Customer Review: Sun 20″Childrens Unicycle
A great gift for a child. I purchased for my 11 year old. He loves it.Keeps him busy. If your child is on the short side, purchase a smaller unicycle. Only drawback -there are no instructions on putting it together and adjusting
the bike. After the bike is put together or taken out of the box, it cannot
be returned.

My 9 year old received one ot these for Christmas (Thanks, Santa!).

Saris Bike Beam Trunk and Hitch Rack Crossbar Adapter for Dual Suspension and Womens Bicycle Frames Saris Bike Beam Trunk and Hitch Rack Crossbar Adapter for Dual Suspension and Women’s Bicycle Frames If you have a non-traditional bike frame–such as a full-suspension or a women’s bike with slanting frame–the Saris Bike Beam will help you transport the bike using your trunk or hitch-mounted rack. It attaches from the seat post to the handlebar area of the bike to create a level beam that can be easily stored on a rack.

Customer Review: Does what it is supposed to do.
This product works like it is described. It does a great job of putting odd framed bikes onto a standard bike rack. The mountain bike that I have has a suspension frame that made it difficult to mount onto a rack. The other bike is my wifes, a womens bike, and it also worked well. It is very sturdy and durable. The one advice that I would give when using it is to make sure your seat is securely attached, as this is where the adapter locks onto. Have not used any other adapters, so I cant compare them to any others.
Customer Review: Travel Easy
My sister and I bought adult tricycles. The Saris crossbar makes it easy to transport our trikes to beautiful places.

Amazon.com Bicycle Buying Guide
Finding the Right Bike
To really enjoy cycling, it’s important to find a bicycle that works for you. Here are some things to keep in mind when you’re in the market for a new bike:

The Right Ride
In general, bikes are broken down into three major categories:

  • Road and Racing Bikes–As a general rule, road and racing are built for speed and longer distances on paved surfaces. Thinner tires, lightweight 29-inch (700c) wheels and drop bars that allow for a more aerodynamic position are the norm. Most road bikes, regardless of price, offer many gears for tackling both hilly and flat terrain.
  • Mountain Bikes–With their larger tires, hill-friendly gearing and upright position, mountain bikes are very popular for all types of riding, both on pavement and off. Mountain bikes that are designed specifically for rugged trail use typically feature a suspension fork. Some may have rear suspension, as well. A quick change of the tires on any mountain bike–even one that you use regularly on trails–adds to its versatility and makes it a worthy street machine.
  • Comfort/Cruiser Bikes–For tooling around on bike paths, light trails, or for cruising a quiet beach-side lane, comfort/cruiser bikes are the ticket. With a super-relaxed riding position, padded seats, and limited or no gearing, these bikes are made for enjoying the scenery and having fun with the family.

The Right Price
A bike’s price boils down to three essentials: frame materials, bike weight, and component quality and durability.

  • Entry-level–You’ll find a wide range of comfort and cruiser bikes in this category, as well as some lower-end mountain bikes and road bikes. Most will have steel frames and components that are designed to last for several years with frequent use.
  • Mid-range–Bikes in this range may feature a lighter aluminum frame with mid-range components that keep performing after miles of use. If you’re looking for a quality bike that is relatively lightweight and will stand up to abuse, this is the “sweet spot.” Most serious commuter and touring bikes fall into this category, as do mid-range mountain bikes with a decent front suspension.
  • High-end–Racers and serious enthusiasts who expect lightweight, high-performance components will want to stick to this category. For road bikes, exotic frame materials (carbon fiber, titanium) and ultra-lightweight components can add thousands to the price tag. Mountain bikes in this class often feature advanced front and rear suspension technology, as well as components designed to handle lots of rugged trail action.

The Right Size
Fit is crucial for comfort, control, and proper power and endurance on a bike. Here are some basic bike fit tips:

  • Stand-over Height–To find out if a bike’s overall height fits your body, measure your inseam. Next, determine how much clearance you’ll need between your crotch and the top tube of the bike. For a mountain bike, you’ll want three to five inches of clearance. A road bike should offer between one and two inches of clearance, while a commuter bike should have two to four inches. Compare the stand-over height for a given bike to your measurements (inseam + clearance) to determine the right bike height.
  • Top Tube Length–You can measure your torso to get a good estimate of proper top tube length. First, make a fist and extend your arm. Measure from the center of your fist to the end of your collarbone (the part that intersects your shoulder). Next, measure your torso by placing a book against your crotch with the spine facing up. Measure from the spine to the bottom of your throat (the spot between your collarbones). Finally, add the two measurements (arm length + torso length), divide the number in half and subtract six inches. This is your approximate top tube length. Compare this number to a bike’s posted top tube length. You can allow for about two inches longer or shorter, as most bikes can be adjusted via stem length/height and saddle fore/aft position to make fine adjustments to the fit.
  • Bikes for Women–Proportionally, women tend to have a shorter torso and longer legs than men. Bike makers design women’s bikes that offer a shorter top tube and many comfort/cruiser bikes built for women may also provide more stand-over clearance.

The Right Accessories
When you make a bike purchase, don’t forget these crucial add-ons:

  • Helmet (this is a must!)
  • Seat pack
  • Lock
  • Hydration pack, or water bottles and bottle cages
  • Spare tubes
  • Portable bike pump
  • Gloves

Customer Review: Box needs to be stronger
I bought four bikes from Amazon. They all came in boxes with no damage to the box except this Cadillac bike. The box was torn up on the bottom on both ends. Platic pieces were broken off the bolts that protect the wheel frames. The plastic piece that protects the opening where you put the handlebar was also broken. The box is a lighter weight material than the boxes that the other bikes I ordered were sent in. (two Schwinn’s and a Columbia) There were a few scratches on the frame, and a rubbed place on the handlebar. The front brake cable was missing. I called and they sent another with no problem. The seat has the Cadillac emblem on it but it was not quite centered properly. The internal back brake did not seem to stop the bike as well as a conventional bike brake with the pads that go against the wheel frame. The gear shifters were hard to moved from gear to gear with your hand. None of the other bikes I bought had this trouble. They were all easy to move. This bike has an internal shifter and you have to release pressure off the pedals when you shift, however, the shift knobs were still very hard to turn. I like the seat, it is very comfortable. The bike is easy to get on because of the low bar. The seat can be adjusted very low which was a plus since my daughter is a little scared of bikes. You can adjust the seat so as wo sit on the seat and have your feet flat on the pavement.
Customer Review: Cadillac Comfort Bike-Womens
Purchased this bike for my wife - to join me on daily exercise runs; (we’re both over 70, so comfort and ease of operation were primary). She Loves it! It is very well constructed…(and was easy for me to assemble). The extra back rest did not provide any comfort or support, (for a 5′4″ , 125 lb frame) - so she rides without it… For this kind of easy riding, the internal gears and drum brakes are superior to those found on “sport bikes” .

Bell Ride N Haul Rear Bike Rack Bell Ride ‘N Haul Rear Bike Rack “BELL” QUICK ATTACH CARGO CARRIER 20 lb weight capacity Attaches quickly and easily to your seat post Integrated bungee cord Durable aluminum alloy side rails add extra tie down points Contoured platform also serves as a mud guard Black Carded
Customer Review: For what it’s worth, it works
This is my first bike rack, so take what I say with a grain of salt. This bike rack does its job. I’ve never put any more than about ten pounds on it, but considering that it’s a seat post mounted rack, I wouldn’t trust putting any more than that on it. The one gripe is that you have to buy your own net if you want to hold anything bigger than a bike helmet.
Customer Review: disappointed
I bought this item yesterday so I could take my work/school items on my bike with me. It took over an hour to even get the thing mounted to my bike, as the hole that the seat mount goes on is too small and doesn’t bend easily. I then tried to attach a bookbag to the rack if you have anything hanging over the edges the bungies won’t stay hooked. The grooves need to be more of a “hook” type for the bungy to stay. I think this is a great idea but has some major desigm flaws. You definitely need another cargo net with SMALL hooks to attach to the metal on the rack. Next time I will splurge for a more expensive model in hopes that it is a little more user friendly.

Customer Review: Razor E200S Seated Electric Scooter
I ordered the Razor E200S for my daughter and what a heart breaking expericence to see an excited face go from happy to tears. The scooter was to be new but was obviously a used one with all the scratches on it. It did not even come with the battery charger or tools to put it together. The box it came it had so much tape on it, the product appears to have been shipped out several times. The scooter itself it a good ride, but what we received was not what was expected. My only hope now is that returning it and getting a refund won’t be a tear jerker.
Customer Review: Good at first then TOTAL FAILURE!!!!!!
Four years ago I recieved this product for Christmas and I loved the product. Reaching speeds up to 10 mph to me it is consided very slow. As Razor recommends this products to people 12 or older it probly would eceed slightly over 5mph or even slower. When I owned the E200S for a year and a half it suddendly didn’t work. After 2 years sitting in my garage I found a product recall from the CPSC that involved my scooter model stating that the handle bars can break off and cause injury and it’s battery carger could overheat. If this happens contact Razor for a free repair and a new battery charger. With 2003 to 2005 models these problems are the most evendent.
