Cadillac Electric Blue CTS Road Bike (50cm-Frame) Cadillac Electric Blue CTS Road Bike (50cm-Frame) Some people want you to believe that its impossible to find a high quality, name brand road bike that wont require a second mortgage to actually own. The Cadillac CTS Road Bike accepts that challenge. The moment you place your hands on the plush wrapped ergonomic handlebar youll notice that this bike means business. Shimano STI Shift/Brake Levers provide almost intuitive gear response which means that youll spend more time enjoying the rush of wind as you sprint instead of having to take your hands off the handlebars to shift. Front and Rear derailleur duties are handled by Shimano as well. A light and stiff 6061 Aluminum Frame ensures that the power you put down goes directly to the rear wheel with almost no flex. Intermediate riders will also appreciate pedals with the option of using clip-less type cycling shoes or non specific cycling shoes. When the road goes up youll love the light weight aluminum rims, stainless steel spokes and Hutchinson 700x 25 tires. The CTS never forgets its legendary Cadillac comfort and attention to detail thanks to an NVO adjustable stem for quick handle bar height adjustments and a set of auxiliary brake levers for panic stops no matter where your hands are located on the handlebars. Lastly, we give you 4 sizes to choose from to fit practically anyone. This stunning bicycle is finished in a gorgeous electric blue paint. Please Note: This bike has compact geometry. Please refer to this guide for sizing and stand over clearance. 46cm 51-56 29 stand-over 50cm 54-58 30 stand-over 55cm 56-510 31 stand-over 59cm 59-63 32 stand-over

Bicycling Los Angeles County: A Guide to the Great Road Bike Rides (Bicycling) Bicycling Los Angeles County: A Guide to the Great Road Bike Rides (Bicycling)

With some of the most extensive and scenic road biking in the United States, Los Angeles County riders now have an expert guide to 40 of the best road rides in their own backyard. Researched and written by world-class road biker and Asphalt editor Patrick Brady, Bicycling Los Angeles combines first-hand road research with GPS map-making technology. From the descriptive narrative and crucial at-a-glance info to the cutting-edge ride maps and elevation profiles, Brady definitively shows riders how to get there, what to expect, and how to get the most out of each ride.

Customer Review: Not great but not expensive
It’s ok. Too many of the “rides” are “star home tours” or bike paths that are pretty obvious (like Santa Monica bike path) and could be found online. Also, a substantial number of the rides are on surface streets within dense parts of Los Angeles (”sights of downtown”, “Hollywood landmarks”). It lists Santa Fe Dam but neglects to mention how dangerously hot it can be for part of the year and only gives a passing “isn’t known for its crystal clear air” instead of mentioning it as a serious potential health hazard.

Slime Smart Tube Presta Valve Bicycle Tube (700c x 19-25) Slime Smart Tube Presta Valve Bicycle Tube (700c x 19-25) Instantly seals punctures up to 1/8″ as you ride. Works repeatedly, lasts up to 2 years.
Customer Review: It really works!
I rejuvinated an old road bike, and started riding again. My son, an avid mountain biker suggested using slime for my tubes. It is a bit of a project with Presta valves. Since the tires and tubes were 20 years old I replaced both. These tubes are easy since they come with Slime installed. On my second ride, I ran over a wad of construction staples. Two of them cut through my rear tire. I was only a couple of miles from home so I got out my pump, and pumped up the tire and rode it home! When I got home I examined the tire, and found the two big staples hanging out with green slime surrounding them. The tire held air until the next day.

My eyes were like saucers and my emotions soared as I saw every imaginable make and model hanging on the wall. Each of them representing the pinnacle of cycling, how could I possibly choose one from another? That was years ago, and I’ve owned multiple bikes since, but I have realized the most important question to ask yourself, how much cycling do you intend to do? If you’ll answer this question truthfully, it will guide you in your choice and you can then almost automatically pick your perfect road bike. Of course this will need to be tempered with your age, physical condition, and whether you plan to race, or simply enjoy a leisurely ride on a beautiful road bike trail. Certainly one of the factors will be financial, if you’re a young and plan to ride consistently, possibly entering a contest or two, your perfect bike might be more expensive than you’d planned for. If you’re older and established in the business world, perhaps money is not the issue, but how much time you have to en …

Bell Furio Bike Helmet Bell Furio Bike Helmet 20 internally channel vents sweep the air right over your helmet while keeping your head cool. Fusion In-Mold Microshell with Internal Reinforcement adds durability and impact resistance. One handed, GPS Fit System keeps your helmet secure during the most feverous sprints. Cam-lock adjustable levers ensure a customized fit.
Customer Review: Looks great and feels like I’m not wearing anything
This helmet is clearly the best one I’ve ever owned. My head didn’t feel gross and sweaty, and it’s pretty light so it didn’t even feel like I was wearing a helmet. It’s also shaped really well so it isn’t much larger-looking than my head. I know it shouldn’t matter what your helmet looks like, but it helps that I don’t feel like a dork wearing this. I bought the small, black one and I wear a small-sized adult motorcycle helmet. I forgot to look at the sizing chart before ordering but it worked out fine, and there’s a little room for adjustment in the back.
Customer Review: Perfect fit for my small head
Me: Age 23, Female, road bike commuter, ~25miles/wk. I have a small head, ordered the small –> it fits PERFECTLY. If you have a similar issue (I was very choosy and tried on many brands in many stores), try the children’s sizes, then look up the circumference. This helmet in size small is the same size as the Youth! (I was glad not to have to order neon pink or dinosaurs on rocketships or whatever)

These things will make a difference when you purchase a road bike. When you purchase a road bike you need to be clear on the purpose of your bike. There are many different types of road bikes like touring, racing, off-road and trail, and more. If you are a racer then you must invest in a top level bike. If you are looking for a good racing bike then you want it to be as light as possible. This is because a heavier bike is harder to get at faster speeds and they will slow you down. This means a lightweight frame and as little accessories on the bike as possible. If you plan on having a bike for the trails, steep up hill and down hill climbs then you will need a bike that has an excellent suspension system with good shocks to absorb the rough terrain you will be riding on. If you are looking for a touring bike then you are going to want a bike that is the most comfortable for long rides. You might want the most comfortable seat you can find because you will be riding for long periods at …

Planet Bike Womens Anatomic Comfort Gel Bicycle Saddle Planet Bike Women’s Anatomic Comfort Gel Bicycle Saddle Full length center recess for comfortable anatomic support. SuperSoft padding with adde GEL for ultimate comfort. Soft Lycra cover.
Customer Review: Doesn’t look like photo
The saddle I received is much wider, more of a full-seat comfort-bike triangle than the racing style with a narrow front section as shown. For a comfort-bike seat, I prefer the Cloud-9 brand, which I can ride on all day. This one got uncomfortable after ten miles, but I had it on road bike, and it’s really not the correct shape for that.

Womens Schwinn Clear Creek Comfort Bike - 26 Women’s Schwinn Clear Creek Comfort Bike - 26″ Customer Review: such a pleasant ride!
My previous bike was a road bike. It got run over by some hit-and-run while parked at my work, so I replaced it with this bike. Not only does it have a neat look, kind of a cross between a cruiser and a mountain bike, but it’s super comfy, and really fun to ride! It actually has 18 speeds, not 21 like it says in the product description. But compared to my old ten speed, it climbs hills like a champ! I love my new bike!!
