The jacket performed well in the rain and wind of Alaska on the cruise and while in town. If it had an inside pocket for cell phone, etc. it would be even better. The outside pockets did keep the items inside dry so not that big of a deal.

I got my first Timbuk2 (large classic messenger) back in college, and it’s about 3 years old now. Still going strong and getting better with age i.e less stiff, more seasoned look and feel. Timbuk2 makes amazing bags in a wide range of designs, and the classic messenger is, in my opinion, the best of the lot.

I bought this bag to replace the Ameribag I had purchased the year before. The Ameribag is advertised as being ergonomic, but I found that, being designed to be worn on one shoulder, it made my opposite shoulder rise to compensate for the weight of the bag. Over time, it caused me to walk crookedly, creating problems for my back. I decided to try the Baggalini Messenger Bagg so that I could sling it over one shoulder, but put the bulk of the bag in the front. My back pains have subsided, and I am walking much straighter now.
