I totally dig this helmet. It’s got a cool shape and it’s sturdy. I didn’t want one of those “novelty” helmets. I admit that it’s a little bigger on your head than a novelty helmet would be, but I chock it up to the fact that it’s actually a DOT certified helmet.

I do like the look of the German Helmet but the DOT ones are so big, they look like I’m from another planet. I sent it back but the company was so good about it, I would buy from them again, they were quick with the order and had no problem returning it….
Customer Review: Great helmet for the price
Helmet arrived in a timely fashion and sized correctly. As one reviewer said, I could see where this would come off as being a little bulky on you; however, I see that being more of an issue if you have a small head. The helmet seems to fit me fine and doesn’t appear too bulky. So far I think it is a great helmet for the price, and am considering purchasing a second one for passengers.

I bought this helmet about 2 months ago, i live in Caracas, Venezuela so the weather is hot, hotter or cloudy but never under 23 C and this helmet is just perfect for this kind of weather, the front vent gives you a great flow of air even at low speed you can feel the air around your mouth and nose, the upper vents are not so obvious, you can feel the air at 50 mph depending of your riding position (maybe in a sport bike is better, I ride a standard bike and it`s not so obvious to me) besides that i would say it`s just perfect. The first day i thought it was too small but 2 weeks later the paths were not so tight and still now fits like a glove, i guess it’s great for cold weather too, just close the vents and let the air coming from behind refresh your face. In rainy days you can ride with vents open, mine didn’t leak a single drop in a heavy rain.

Customer Review: Bad Choice- Even on a Scooter
I tried these with my MP3 player all the way up with a Boostaroo headphone amplifier and the volume on the speakers all the way up inside a closed full face HJC helmet- still couldn’t hear much of anything. I was sitting still on my 500cc Aprilia Scooter- probably the quietest “motorcycle” out there. I’m far from deaf and my $10 Sony over the ear sporty buds are pristine under the same conditions- save your time and money and head to Walmart. I’m mailing them back tomorrow. (the Boostaroo does help with regular earphones/buds to get over the bike and wind noise.)

I agree with many of the other reviewers. Definitly NOT loud enough, I tried them with my Ipod and my Garmin - neither was loud enough. I had to go with in ear phones.

This helmet is great, it fits me really well. I don’t like the full face helmets and this is the only one I could find with the large visor without the full face. My only complaint is that I wish they would make them in more colors. I’m very happy that I purchased this helmet.

Customer Review: use for GPS: Excellent results
I bought these speakers to use with my Garmin Nuvi 350 GPS installed on my motorcycle. They inserted easily in my HJC helmet and the sound is loud enough even at high speeds.
I made one change: I got rid of the wire/sound control cable and used a plain cable as the one they supplied is not long enough. I control the volume from the GPS which is easier anyway.
