GMC Topkick Dual-Suspension Mountain Bike Shimano 21-speed index gearing; Dual suspension with 4 bar linkage system; Suspension fork with 90mm travel Customer Review: Great bike for most users I purchased this bike because the price was great and it came with dual suspension and front/rear disc brakes. The only problem with the bike is that beginner tuners will have a hard time getting the brakes right as well as the gearing. I paid a shop to get it all right for me, the bike works perfect now.

Although many children in this country love their bikes more than anything, the magic usually wears off when they reach their teen years. This change is probably a result of America’s obsession with motorized transportation, i.e. the automobile. However, over the past decade or so, Lance Armstrong has done an incredible amount to further the “coolness” factor of bicycles in America. This development is all to the good, since bicycles are beneficial to both individuals and to the planet as a whole. Bicycles were invented in the early 19th century. Interestingly, the bicycle’s basic shape has never changed very drastically, although the one exception to this rule is the “penny-farthing” bicycle, the notorious model with a huge front wheel and a tiny rear one. For the most part, the first bicycles are easily recognized as bikes even by today’s standards. Early bicycles were used simply as …

Schwinn Cimarron 26-Inch Women’s Comfort Bike Customer Review: Great bike for the price. I got this bike for my mom and now that it is together she is enjoying it. We did get her a new seat that is a little more comfy. We had some trouble putting it together, we were missing some parts which could have been lost out of the box in delivery. The box had a small hole in the corner. But the parts were easily found at a bike shop. Customer Review: Good bike and a nice price I was a bit flummoxed while assembling. The front wheel, seat, peddles and handle bars needed to be assembled. The brakes needed to be adjusted as well. These, I assume, are normal small things that need to be finalized pre-sale in a bike shop. I have always previously purchased my bikes in a shop so I haven’t done this stuff before. The bike is light weight and attractive. It’s easy to shift gears and a smooth ride. Overall this bike is a good value for the money.

It is these almost limitless variables that confuses many less experienced riders or those new to long distance cycling. Start by just riding The best approach when training for a century ride is to just start your training by riding and getting some hours in the saddle. Providing you have a good amount of time to train the early part of any program should be more focused on getting low intensity miles into your legs. This phase of training lets your muscles adapt to the rigours of long distance riding while at the same time allowing you to get used to your bike, find the right bike fit and test your other equipment, clothing and nutrition. More focused century training As you get nearer to your century ride you should try to incorporate more focused training rides into your workouts. If your century ride will be very hilly you may want to focus more training time on improving your climbing tec …

Zinn and the Art of Road Bike Maintenance (2nd Edition)
Road bikes are surprisingly complex machines, but there’s no need to spend excessive amounts on repairs and maintenance. The cost of a copy of Zinn and the Art of Road Bike Maintenance should be sufficient in most cases. This well-organized and -illustrated guide, which incorporates the latest in component technology and innovations, shows how to maintain every part of a road bike. This includes chains, derailleurs, shifters, wheels, brakes, cranks, bottom brackets, pedals, saddles, seatposts, handlebars, stems, headsets, forks, and frames — all covered in Lennard Zinn’s trademark clear and concise prose. Novices and seasoned mechanics alike can benefit from the clear illustrations, exploded views of how components go together, and practical tips on how to completely and properly maintain all aspects of their road bikes to ensure hours of trouble-free riding. Zinn shows exactly when to tackle a maintenance project and when a trip to the bike shop for repair is unavoidable.
Customer Review: Great to have! Zinn’s interest in and experience with bikes and biking is obvious to me when I look over this book or read his tech reports in Velo News (magazine and website). I found the second edition a welcome improvement over the first edition in its inclusion of a section on cantilever brakes (the first edition refers the reader to Zinn’s mountain bike book). Since I have owned cyclocross bikes for several years, and found cantilevers infinitely more adjustable (and sometimes infinitely more frustrating) than the side pull brakes found on most road bikes, I welcomed this section. Beyond that, I like the straightforward way Zinn writes (always advocating the proper tools but sometimes offering ways to improvise), I find the illustrations most helpful and the organization of the book easy to follow. While this book does not cover everything (what does and how many of us really need that much information?) it is the one source I return to over and over again; the grease stains on the pages of my copy attest to its frequent use. Combine this book with the Park Tools website and the exhaustive information provided by the late Sheldon Brown, and you will find most of what you need to complete standard bike build or repair jobs. This is the bike book I own that spends the least amount of time on the shelf.

Customer Review: Good deal on a good bike. The bike came on time and in good shape. My husband put it together in a couple of hours, it is already mostly assembled except for gears and so on. The problem with purchasing a bike on line is trying to ‘fit’ the bike to yourself. We went to a bike shop and talked to salesmen there about ’size’ and also did some research online (there is some great, easy to understand information out there). My husband is 5′10 and this bike fit him perfectly.

Strider Kids Running Bike Red Strider Running Bikes. Bikes designed for 2-5 year olds. No pedals and a very low seat and handlebar allow a child to quickly learn and build confidence.Helmet and supervision recommended for riding. Avoid busy traffic areas. Customer Review: Great bicycle for the little ones I loved the idea of this bike for my 2 year old daughter, she loves it too. The bike is of decent quality but the grips and tire were not what I expected. I did not like the grips, they did not give enough support and the ends came off the first fall of the bike. The tires are foam, that’s awesome for maintenance, but they are a little oblong and wobble a bit. But over all I’m really impressed with this bike, even the neighbor kids love it. Customer Review: Forget about the tricycle I have over 10 years of experience in the bicycle industry as a bike shop employee and then a professional mountain biker. Although not “bike shop” quality, I believe this product will hold up to a two-four year old’s abuse for a couple of years if you keep it out of the elements. I would definitely recommend this over the other brands which are made of wood. It has reasonable adjustability to adapt to just about any size toddler. My son is >95%tile 22 month old and I had to drop the seat and bars to the lowest position.

Nirve Hello Kitty Special Edition Retro Kitty Women’s Cruiser Bike Whether you’re meandering around your beach community or looking for a stylish neighborhood ride, the Nirve Retro Kitty women’s single-speed 26-inch cruiser bike is an excellent choice. The Retro Kitty is equipped with such features as a proprietary Galaxie frame, 26-inch whitewall tires with Hello Kitty treads, and full-length fenders. The double-spring Hello Kitty saddle and cruiser-style handlebars, meanwhile, are designed for all-day comfort. Perhaps the sweetest feature, however, is the bike’s two-tone pink retro/white color and shape, which call to mind the classic ladies’ bikes of the ’50s and ’60s. Other details include a Hello Kitty bell, a coaster brake, and a welded kickstand. The Retro Kitty fits most women who measure 5 feet tall and up.
Customer Review: hello kitty nirve bike This bike is exactly what I wanted. I had to put it together but had not a problem doing it. I did have a issue with the seat not staying tight. But if you go to Nirve bike site they have a short video to show you how to do the assembly… happy riding and everyone will die of jealous.. in a good way===:) Customer Review: Super Cute! The title of these review comes straight from the packaging of this product and I must say it is “Super Cute!” So, I had been eyeing up this bike forever. No one ever had it locally and Amazon was out of stock for a while on it. The when they had it back in stock you had to pay for shipping. I held out more and at the time of this review there was free shipping like they had offered in the past. So when UPS delivered it, it comes in this huge heavy hello kitty decked out box unassembled. I had tried to assemble it, but gave up after a half hour of getting no where with it. So I had to go to bike shop pay 40 bucks and have them assemble it. Then, because it is HUGE they couldn’t stick it in the back of my jetta with the two back seats down. The guy had to remove the front wheel to squeeze it in. It wasn’t hard getting the wheel back on at home, but if you ever wanted to take it with you, you would definitely need a bike rack.

Customer Review: Good for a kid, takes a little time to build I have worked in a bike shop, and it took me about 40 minutes to put the bike together. I think if you were not experienced in building a bike it could take about 1.5 hours. The only problem we have had with the bike is the back braking system is noisy, but other than that, my son really likes it!

Pacific Shorewood Men’s 26-Inch Cruiser Bike Customer Review: Rim got bented I got this bicycle, and I assembled it. After I assembeld it, I was trying to ride on the bicycle, but I felt that the wheel was not smooth. So, I looked it, and the rim got bented, therefore brake kept reach.
At first time, I thought that it was a brake problem, so I fixed a gap between a rim and a brake. However, it was not a problem. Rim was bented. So, now what? I have to go to a bike shop to fix it.
