Customer Review: It literally disintegrated!
I’ve had my Jubilee for approximately one year. It has seen only a few easy miles, all on the smooth blacktop around my subdivision. Recently the threads on the fork stem literally disintegrated (in other words, the handle bars were disconnected from the fork). Luckily, this was discovered before riding. If it had happened while I was in the saddle, a serious injury would have been possible. The handlebar/stem connection had always felt too flexible and it didn’t take a lot of force to pull the handlebars out of alignment with the fork, but the headset seemed tight and I never felt comfortable with tightening it any further. I just assumed this was normal for such an upright handlebar arrangement. Replacement of the suspension fork with an inexpensive rigid fork + a new head set + labor amounts to half the cost of the bike. Now I must decide whether to dump another $200 into this machine, or junk it and buy something NOT made in China. I’ve been riding all my life and have never experienced this kind of catastrophic failure. I am no longer a serious “sport” rider and found this bike style to be much more comfortable for my aging body. It looks great, but, buyer beware.
Customer Review: Bike for tall Folks
Nice fit and finish, very comfortable And best of all it fits me. Im 6′4″and its hard to get a inexpensive, tall mans bike, this is it! It rides so high, I feel like I need a stepladder to get on. Rides like a dream. I feel like a kid, with a new bike.
It’s been about six months: I have taken this bike, on long jaunts, over rough trails, and enjoyed every moment. Nice steering. A real pleasure to ride!
